As a teenager I was very artistic and mechanical. Just out of high school I convinced a property management company into hiring me to manage 48 apartments providing painting, repairs and maintenance…while working a full time job. With a knack for common sense and a Readers Digest Fix It book, I learned how to do things the right way.

Through the 90s sponge painting and rag-rolling was emerging as an alternative to wallpaper. I started making my own finishes and showing customers decorating ideas. I sought education on new products and became certified to work with high quality faux finishes. In 2000 I opened a faux finishing school in Fox River Grove, and became a master instructor for professionals and homeowners. Since then my company has produced thousands of sample boards to spur ideas.

To keep busy during the winter months I remodel basements. Building arches supported with columns, making the columns look like thousand year old textured marble, crown molding, chair-railing, shadow boxes, custom wine bars and book cases, and tin ceilings are some of the recent remodeling projects we’ve completed.

I have lived in McHenry County all of my life and have made some wonderful relationships that continue to this day. I am blessed. I love what I do and so does my team. We do it right the first time and we stand behind the quality of our work. We don’t cut corners – we work efficiently so costs stay in line and competitive.

To my customers over the years – I thank you! To those I have yet to meet – give me a call and let’s talk. Make this a great day,
